It’s DEAD!

After spending hours and hours on the comic that was supposed to go up yesterday, I realized I couldn’t do it anymore. The comic was no longer fun, and I hated it, so I no longer wanted to work on it. BUT HAVE NO FEAR!!!! I’ve already started a new comic! It is Here and it is called OHGODAMMIT! OHGODAMMIT OHGODAMMIT OHGODAMMIT. It is going to be very different, but much easier to do. It will also be (hopefully) funnier. As much as I loved doing this story, it wasn’t letting me do the jokes I want. Fuck trying (desperately) to be witty. The first OHGODAMMIT comic is about poop. There will also be dicks. I know how much you people crave the dick comics.

I promised a comic today, but no luck. I’m trying some new techniques on it, and it is taking waaay longer than I thought. It will be up Wednesday.

Kids Say Some Crazy Shit

Here’s a comic. It’s part part one of a script I decided to make into two comics. It sounds like I’m going to have a table at the Olympia Comics Festival, so that should be a good time. In edition to trying to get the site updated on time (I’ve been damn sick for nearly a week), I’m going to try and do some new shit for the con. I think I’ll have some FLF merch, but I also plan on having a couple of different books and buttons. I’m also going to do some shit with cassette tapes, but more on that later. The con is on Saturday, June 5th, so maybe I’ll see someone I know there! All this came about when I went to Stumptown Comics Fest with my friend Wade from Olympia. We were hanging out at his friends booth when I mentioned I had a comic, and she gave me a registration form. I’m really excited.

Stumptown was amazing. I met some awesome new people, and KC Green! So, hopefully another update in the next few days. I’ve started doing a few new things that I think make the comic look better. New font, different bubbles, and I changed the way I do the linework in Photoshop. Still getting used to this new way of doing bubbles, but it will get better.

Damn you hands.

I wrote a script, but after deciding I didn’t want to make a ten-panel comic, I split it into two. I’m really happy with it, and couldn’t wait to draw it out. I tried this tonight. After penciling the panel, I was pretty happy with it. Sadly, after inking, I realized I had to stop. There are some days, when I really want to draw, but it just won’t happen. I was still in a creative mood, and tried to draw something else, but no dice. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Everyone in the house has been playing a ton of Pokemon. It’s been a lot of fun. I’ve played most of the games in the series, but pretty much thought I had quit with Pearl/Diamond. I played it for a few hours, and realized the series hadn’t really changed a whole lot, so I was through with it. I was hesitant to pick up the newest installment (a remake of the Silver/Gold games), but after putting in about twenty hours, I can say this is clearly the best game in the series. Nintendo sold it to me like they weren’t even trying with the addition of the Pokewalker.

The pokemwalker (or as I call it, the Pokedometer) is a basic portal version of the game that attaches to your hip. It counts your steps, and levels you up as you walk. You fight various Pokemon, get items, and all sorts of things that allow you to experience the game without actually playing the game. I do admit, I did cheat it. An elaborate set up involving one of my record players, a small box, and string really tricks it into thinking it’s walking. I mostly did it out of Pokecuriosity, not using it for more than an hour or so on a couple occasions.

Uhhh, yeah. Didn’t expect to really make a whole thing about Pokemon. OH WELL. New comic soon.

It’s How My Parents Met

NOTE: In case there was any confusion, the monster’s wang isn’t moving, it has four dicks. After looking at it, I realized there could be some confusion. Dicks have appeared to move in my comic before, so I didn’t want to frustrate anyone on the dick situation. Dick dick dick dick dick.

Hey look, a comic! And it’s right on time. I’ve been pretty busy moving for the last couple weeks, so excuse the late comic. Maybe I’ll get my shit together. Probably not. SUPER FACT TIME! The beer in Joans hat is Hamm’s, which is the juice that fuels this comic. You heard it here first, Hamm’s Official beverage of Fight Love Fight (it is in no way official). Well, I’m going to drink another beer and ignore all the mistakes in this until tomorrow.
